Situated at the end of Central Pier’s historic runway and housed in a 1914 heritage-listed cargo shed, Alumbra is an authentic warehouse conversion celebrating all that encompasses down town New York. Situated in the very heart of Melbourne’s Docklands precinct. Valet parking is available on Central Pier, with easy access to public transport and other parking precincts.

Alumbra’s philosophy of music, life and culture is brought to life with a foodie partnership featuring master chef Daniel Wilson – The face behind Collingwood’s Huxtable and the immensely popular Huxtaburger. Dan brings his memories and love of living in New York City to Alumbra with a bar menu showcasing his big city favourites. Including – Bad dog with BBQ beef hot dog, smoked cheddar & vodka tomato relish, BBQ pulled chicken & slaw sliders on a brioche bun and the signature NY cheeseburger deluxe complete with lettuce, tomato, cheese, pickles, ketchup, mustard & mayo.
The NYC inspired cocktail menu features 8 master cocktails, highlighting Alumbra’s superior beverage partners Moët & Chandon and Ciroc Vodka. Plus an extensive selection of cocktails, champagne, wine, beer, spirits and liqueurs. Cocktail menu curated with assistance of Roar Projects beverage director, David Debattista – Nominated for best cocktail maker of the year 2014 with The Urban List.
CONFERENCES
Alumbra’s water views, spacious rooms and full AV capabilities makes the perfect venue to host conferences. Alumbra can be utilized as a whole venue or sectioned off into five private spaces and rooms that can be individually tailored.
Including event stage, microphone and Martin audio sound system, oversized LED screens and TV screens throughout the venue.
Food and beverage function packages are heavily influenced by the streets of NYC with unique food offering curated by Chef Hat awarded chef Daniel Wilson. NYC style street carts, roving canapés, buffet style or a full grill BBQ on the outdoor decking are also available. Plus an extensive cocktail list featuring Ciroc Vodka and Moët & Chandon Champagne.
